The goal of this collection was to design looks that contained volume in some shape or form. The Rococo era was a huge influence with these designs. I was really attracted to the big skirts of the late 17th century. I also loved the intricate and busy patterns. Costumes from the movies Marie Antoinette (2006) and Orlando (1992) also served as inspiration. I was especially attracted to all the rich colors of the fabrics used. I tried to use patterns that were largely reflective of the Rococo period. I ended up sewing the pink and white dress coat for class (pictured).
