HERMÈS X PAPER SOURCE

Hermes Project.jpg

This collection is a result of a project where the prompt was to create a case study proposing a collaboration between a publicly traded fashion company and a company whose products are unrelated to the fashion industry. I chose Hermès and Paper Source together because of their dedication to good design and fostering creativity. The entire case study can be found below the collection.

In addition to Hermès' aesthetic and Paper Source's products and logo, my inspiration came from Japanese origami patterns as well as the silhouette of the Japanese kimono including its components such as the obi. The founder of Paper Source, Susan Lindstrom was inspired by Japan as well. She founded the company after a trip to Japan exposed her to refined stationary. All the patterns featured in the collection are self-designed, inspired by Paper Source's logo, motto, and products.
